[Misaki has brought a bat, a ball and a dog--one that vaguely resembles the puppy she adopted during her experiment, though it's a full-sized, sand-colored animal now, one ear flopped and the other up straight and alert.]

[Misaki bounces a red ball twice before knocking it into the distance with her bat. The dog whines, prances. She laughs.]

All right, Haruki. Get!

[And he takes off, rocketing after the ball as it rolls to halt, skidding around, and racing back. He drops it at her feet and sits, barking.]

No, hey, stop that. Haruki, silent. [And the dog shuts up.] Good boy.

[Looks around as Haruki whines, then smiles.] Hello, Mu.

[fffff dog]

[Haruki goes into alert mode, giving a short, aggressive bark. Misaki looks around.] Oh. Haruki--friend. [The dog relaxes]

[and then a wicked smile from Misaki] Haruki. Say hello.

[Haruki goes bounding up to Crowley and attempts to lick his face]

He's learning quickly.

[Crowley gives Misaki a sharp look and then turns his gaze onto the dog, horrified]

What? No!

[He takes a couple of quick steps backward]

Some things don't change a lot, do they? Still as enthusiastic as he was.

[she didn't hear the name, she just sees Misaki playing with a big dog.] Oh, did you get another dog?

Cute dog. Haruki, right?

[Stares.]

[And stares more.]

You can talk to dogs, gero!?

Ah. Hello, Misaki.

Haruki, sit. [The dog sits, albeit reluctantly.] Hello, Crowley.

That's because he's a smart boy, isn't he? [She gives the dog's ears an affectionate scrub]

At least he listens to me a bit more now. [Crouches down to give the dog a cuddle. He licks her face.] Ack. Yes, you're a good boy.

Another...? [Ah. It's Donna. Oh dear.] Um. No, this is Haruki.

Yeah. [Doggy gets headpats] I suppose to most everyone else here, I just got him.

[....tiny frog] Er. Not exactly?

[Beckons him over] Would you like to meet Haruki?

Then he can talk to humans, gero? Hm hm, he can? [staring at the dog now]

[involuntary sigh of relief]

Er, thanks—I mean hi.

Well. No. I trained him to act certain ways when I say certain words.

I think he likes you.

[headtilt] Uh, but but but how did you tell him all that?

Mn. How wonderful for me.

This means you're still living in the future, I take it?

Or you're still in the past. [Comes over and rubs Haruki's head gently.]
