[Ianto appears mid-step, apparently too busy looking through the contents of the bucket he's holding to notice he's no longer in the Hub.  He's whistling softly, as if calling something.  He only starts to look up as he pulls out a fish to toss.]  Come on, girl... it's cod.  I thought you li--  [He cuts himself off as he realises where he is.  No pterodactyls on the Plane, so there's not much point calling for one.]

...I did think she was being quieter than usual.

Sounds like it. I'm not much of a dog person, though, anyway, so most things are more interesting than dogs to me.
