[the Brigadier arrives on the plane during the middle of what, presumably, must be some sort of action scene! why is this? well, the fact he arrives mid-dive, and upon hidding the 'ground' lays there panting is one indication. another is the fact he's been shot in one of his shoulders, and said shoulder is being soaked with black blood - until it heals, anyway

a third thing is the futuristic gun he has with him, which to informed individuals is a laser rifle]

Didn't [a hiss of pain] expect the ambush. Damn.

[Drops down on one knee next to him, caught midway between concern and anger.] Sir?

[he's getting his breath back currently] I'm alright.

You're bleeding all... over the place. [And now he's sort of frozen and staring at you, Brig.]

Since when...?

It'll heal. [he shoves himself into a sitting position] ...Five months ago.

[Wasn't even talking about the sparkleblood, funnily enough. He doesn't know anything about that little side effect.]

You're immortal. You've been immortal that long?

[pause, then in a confused manner] What?

It's--you said five months. It's healing. [Is also confused]

[he frowns; he shouldn't have said anything] I'm not immortal.

And that blood? [Reaches out to dab his fingers in it.] Thought you were human.

I am. [he then tries to keep up nonchalance as he checks to see if the shot has healed all the way yet]

So what's this blood? What happened five months ago?

It's nothing. You don't need to worry about it, Firo.

[Jack is at his side in moments, clearly concerned] What the hell happened?

[the Brigadier pants] An ambush, Harkness. Took a hit to the shoulder - could've been worse.

Could have been better too [mutters, then a bit louder]The wound doesn't look too bad, but we're going to have to stop the bloodflow- [In the time, it's taken him to say that, Jack has noticed something] ....it's flowing more slowly already.

Don't worry, Captain. [he nods] Give it time, I'll be fine.

Brigadier, what haven't you told me?

Nothing you need to concern yourself with.

You're hurt; that makes it my concern.

Harkness. I'll be fine.

....You didn't leave me alone when I asked you to last time. Why shouldn't I do the same?

[frowns] You need to stop getting yourself injured, Brigadier.

[Hurries over... except she's trying to look as if she's not hurrying so the effect is rather interesting] What happened?

Will anyway. Might as well know what I'm worrying over.

[he gives Firo a look. you know, one of those 'are you going to keep bothering me forever if I don't tell you' looks]
