[Dexter had denied him. Again. Dexter had... killed him. But that couldn't be right. Everything was so surreal. His plans had fallen apart, and he'd woken up - here? This place of stars and darkness?]

[Looks around; doesn't see anyone, so he settles on the "ground", folding his legs crosswise. Brian pulls something out of his pocket. It's an older looking Barbie doll, one with coarse reddish hair. It's completely naked, and slowly he starts taking it apart. A leg pops out of a hip joint. Thin, shiny red ribbon is tied around it in a careful bow.]

[Brian considers his options.]

I didn't have dolls when I was a kid. This is a more... recent thing.

It's sort of an injoke with my brother. We're having a fight, and I was thinking about him.

[frowns] Oh. Brothers can be really ridiculous sometimes. Especially if they don't listen to their siblings.

[sharply] Especially then. I'm his older brother - he should listen to me. I'll look out for him.

You could call it a personal issue. [seems to suddenly take stock of himself] Ah, yeah, it looks pretty bad, doesn't it?

[self-conscious smile. stands up] And here I thought this was a good place for privacy...

[Well, that is usually the point, but it's a doll. It can't hurt. Except it looks like there's a larger doll right in front of him.] I didn't think I was hurting anything, though I'm starting to rethink that.
