[Trots over and sits on her foot.] It's lost. And it took part of Tintagel!

[picks up Cy because, hey, cats are relatively comforting]

[Purrrr. She wraps her paws around his wrist and tries to chew on his hand.] Africa took part of Tintagel.

[wriggles his fingers]

Africa took everything outside of Manchester. Do you think any bits of Africa look like Tintagel?

Not like I'm likely to be able to visit.

[headtilt] Did it now?

[Waves her paws at his fingers.] Maybe! Some of Old Stony got eaten.

[smiles briefly at that]

'Old Stony'?

...Boo.

Do you know whose it is?

Odin's perch. That old place the dulls built at the edge of the Road. It's ours now, but sometimes it has old whispers in the night.

It did! Rude, huh?

I thought it was your lot who did the whispering.

[scratches under her chin]

[Sits down to be closer to eye-level]

...What happened to Africa?

I'll say. [bending over to scratch Cy behind the ears] I'd be seriously annoyed if part of Cardiff got replaced by Africa. Well, unless it was the bit with my fiance in it.

[Leans on his fingers, purring louder.] Gold eye sees the fire, silver eye, the moon.

[another brief smile]

That means nothing to me, you know that?

[Grabs at his fingers again] I'm used to that.

[lets her have them]
