[Zuko is sporting a slightly less emo hairstyle! Well... it's still emo, but at least you can see his eyes now. He's found himself a nice open spot behind the theater where hopefully no one will see him, or care. Instead of his robes, he's wearing a more casual tunic, though it's still made of nice material.

He glides through a few martial arts exercises, some punches and kicks, focusing. And then he lashes out with punches backed by fireballs, each dissolving into nothingness a few feet away from him. Everything about him says he's mastered this but he's still going, still practicing, almost to the point of exhaustion.]

Aaauuugh! Why can't I keep up with her?!

[He punches the ground. The resulting rush of fire actually propels Zuko backwards a few feet and he lands on his back. Hard.]

Stupid stupid stupid!

[Zuko gets right back up and repeats the sequence flawlessly. But he's still pissed off, clearly.]

[Maintaining his distance still, for he does not want to be a crispy Doctor, but he's watching all of this with fascination.]

[Zuko wouldn't hit you, anyway. After another set, he starts a different one. This one seems far more grounded than the previous moves. He gets low to the ground, swings his arms about him, and conjures up a crescent of fire that he gathers around himself briefly. Then he flings it at something invisible before him like a rubbed band. The fire lags a bit, then breaks and disappears in a puff of smoke.]

Nrrgh!

[So he tries it again. Each time, it gets a little more erratic and pathetic.]

[The Doctor watches as Zuko gives it a few more tries; of course, being no expert, he's got no clue what it is that Zuko's trying to do -- but he can at least tell that each attempt is getting a bit sloppier, enough so that he finally says--]

[DENIED. He tries again, but instead of a nice whippish crescent, it just turns into a huge, aimless blast of fire. Only then does he plop down where he is, panting.]
