[it's TUESDAY on the east coast, so! here is the Master- though not quite as he normally is. in fact, one might say he doesn't even seem completely there. he seems only vaguely occupied with the growing pile of stuff near him, most of it made of metal, though there are various lights and things

someone bother him, because otherwise he'll just keep making stuff until he has the most stuff ever. :|]

[wandering over!] You're looking...different, Master.

...What's all this stuff? [nudges the glowing things with his foot]

[the Master shrugs. he looks normal enough to him] It's nothing significant.

I've been testing something.

[the TARDIS is following Ten around like a little puppy, so hello, Master! she's rather interested in what you're doing, as well as you being different. she is, however, wary, all things considered]

Master. You are ... different.

[looks over the pile] What exactly are you testing?

[the Master, in his stuffmaking, has begun pulling a dagger into existence; though once it's ... you know, existing, it clatters to the floor]

I suppose. I'm not too particularly bothered by it.

This. [the Master fabricates a door. why a door? who knows. he just did. anyway, seeing as it is not in a door frame, it tips over and hits the ground] Interesting, don't you think?

[watches with interest, not too happy about the pointy implements of doom]

So I've noticed. [frowns, then crouches down to look at him, analysing] You are no longer Gallifreyan.

[he just sort of...stares] ...You made a door. You just...a door. There. How?

[that last comment elicits a snarl and a growl] I'm aware of that! [then he exhales harshly, and seems to completely mellow as he continues making stuff, because he's working on perfecting this. this time, it's a chain] I've been at this for the past... hour, hour and a half.

[he tilts his head just a bit] I just did. That's all.

[actually flinches a little, frightened, but masks it quickly, watching him with interest] From what do you produce this matter?

[crotches down, putting on his glasses and looking over the pile] Feels normal. [waves his sonic screwdriver at the pile] Nothing unusual in the composition... Course, you look unusual. When did this start?

If I want it to exist, it does. That's all.

That is impossible. Matter cannot simply be made. You must have something from which you draw the materials.

About an hour ago. Somewhere around midnight, I think.

Where are you getting all that?

[the Master pulls a sheet of metal into existence] Well, then I must be capable of doing the impossible.

[the Master promptly demonstrates by pulling a pole into existence] I expect that demonstration is enough of an answer?

That's strange. Just suddenly...making doors and glowsticks?

[narrows her eyes] This is wrong. You should not have this much power.

[just for emphasis, he creates a neon green light and has it drop on Ten's head. sadly, he only barely smirks, compared to ... well, what would have been him potentially amused] This place is erroring, is it not, my dear Doctor? I expect this is a side-effect. Either that, or someone in charge decided to grant me a very strange and currently useless set of abilities, though I don't see much of a point to it.

[a very small, faint smirk crosses his face] Not fawning over me any longer? Someone must've fixed what was wrong with you. [a pause as he circles her, looking her over] And how are my improvements to your systems doing? Finely, I expect.

Ow! [mutters under his breath, rubbing his head and glaring] Well you seem to be having fun with it.

Not really. [he shrugs slightly] Though it could be much worse.

[he's going to sit with you now, Master] Can you decide what you make?
