[Gene is currently hanging out at his most favouritest place on the Plane: the bar. he's nursing a glass of whisky and ignoring the knot on his head (courtesy Simm!Master) as best he can, instead staring at an innocuous notepad on the countertop beside him. why, might you ask? because that notepad is the only way he can communicate, seeing as how Yuuko stole his voice during the last plot. every now and again he'll look at the 'sky' and shake his head before downing another gulp and pouring himself some more booze.

there is one thing written on the notebook:]

Whoever's messing with my City can bloody well stop.

[Is wandering by carrying his telescope, looking like he's in a good mood for once when he spots the notebook.]

You traded your voice too?

[Here's Misaki, wandering in, spotting him and scribbling a quick note on her own notepad before hopping up onto one of the bar stools. She shoves her notepad toward him and pours herself a glass.]

You too? Stars and voice.

[the Master loves you, Gene, and your presense is too much to ignore, so look, you get to deal with him more ... oh hey I rhymed!]

What's this? The great and illustrious Gene Hunt writing?

{She didn't steal it~! But she does take a seat at the bar next to him, less to taunt him and more because it's more satisfying to drink in good company. And perhaps in silence, this company is better}

Oh, now you're worried about the sky, I see~ You don't like the show?

Y'know, every time I see you, you've in a bad mood.

...well, I'm not going mad, then.

[gives him a look that pretty much says 'you can't be happy because I sure as hell ain't]

What do you mean, 'too?'

[looks at the notepad, then at her, then shakes his head]

Something like that, yeah.

[hi, Master? Gene doesn't love you. so I hope you're sitting down because he just kicked the stool out from under you]

[Gene opts to believe things as he sees fit. therefore, she stole it. he also does not consider this broad good company]

I don't remember asking you.

[gives her a funny look]

And I'm supposed to care?

[motions her over, sliding a drink her way]

You're seeing 'em too, then?

[and the Master is down, but not out, as he quickly grabs your stool and rips it out from under you, Gene. say hello to the 'floor'. the Master is totally hanging out there and expecting you in a few seconds]

[I love how the Master's just hanging out, waiting for him. Gene isn't so happy, though. and he expresses this with an elbow aimed at the face]

[STOP TRYING TO BREAK HIS NOSE D: THAT TAKES FOREVER TO HEAL. but fine, Gene gets to elbow him in the face, and have fun with the blood. let's say that, yes, you get to break his nose

but the Master isn't stopping there, because now comes what always happens when these two get near each other - fighting. the Master would also like to return that blow to the face with one of his own]

Not really.

[Sits next to him]

I thought I was losing it, for a minute.

[hah! broken nose get! not that it matters, because Gene's got one now, too, thanks a lot, you rotten whore. they're gonna start attracting vampires at this rate, Master. but Gene doesn't care, cause he's going the strangulation route!]

That's what I thought.

[shakes his head]

I'd hope not, luv.

{She just laughs}

If it bothers you so much, I could take your voice for a bit longer~

[especially since Gene's blood is delicious! assuming Gene's topping for now, since the Master was on the ground first, he lobbies a punch or two to Gene's gut. he can go without air for a while, Gene, so have fun trying to strangle him to death]

Still, though. You need to cheer up.

[do you have any idea how unfair that is? especially since those punches totally winded Gene like crazy and he doesn't have any choice but to roll off, coughing heavily]
