[Hei appears on the Plane looking thoroughly bemused. His feet are bare and covered in sand and his pantlegs are rolled up, exposing his ankles. He looks around the Plane, frowning and rubbing the back of his head in confusion. Then he drops from the Plane.]

[He reappears only a few minutes later with a palm full of sand. He turns his hand over and lets it trickle out onto the Plane floor.]

Hafta admit, this is a new one.

[Astrid steps out onto the plane, for all her excitement and wide-eyed wonder at her discovery, there's a sense of reticence to her movements initially. She's caught been absolute fascination and an inherent fear that this can't be good news. She's witnessed too much on Earth for this to bode well. The most recent event of her reality being Dalek's subjugating Earth and the entire planet being displaced and returned. But it's so beautiful, and surely something as amazing as this has to be something wonderful. Surely something like this, has to be something the Doctor's aware of. Maybe, just maybe, she's one step closer to finding him.]

Oh my Vot! This is... this is amazing! [She gasps, her eyes sparkling and her smile broadening at the sight before her.]

It's so beautiful. [She's spinning on her heels now, whirling around in excited enthusiasm, looking around and upwards, taking it all in. If it's dangerous, then its beauty is blinding any thoughts of that.]

This is definitely not Earth anymore, at least not the Earth I know. [She almost squeals in delight, before her thoughts are dragged down to more pressing issues.]

Wait! There's no Daleks are there? I thought we'd heard the last of them. Please tell me there are no Daleks here. There can't be, nowhere this beautiful could harbour monsters like that. What is this place? I love it! [And she's bouncing again, literally bouncing.]

I have to find him here! There's no way he won't know somewhere like this exists. Oh my Vot! This is so exciting.

[She appears in a sundress, broad-brimmed hat and sandals, her hair loose around her shoulders and her dog sitting next to her foot.]

I don't speak Italian. I've never been to Italy. I've never thought about going to Italy.

[She looks down at the dog. The dog looks up at her, tongue rolling cheerfully out the side of his mouth.]

You know, you're supposed to be a guard dog. Where were you when I was being kidnapped?

And why are you the only one there now?

[A frog appears on the Plane! He doesn't sing or dance, but he /does/ take a step forward and, thinking he's falling into space, trips onto his hands and knees. It takes a long moment of staring before he pulls himself up again, a bit unsteady. One can see that he's a bit more than a frog, since frogs aren't usually around four feet tall, nor do they look like they just walked out of DBZ the Middle Ages. Which is what he just did.]

What foul trickery is this?!

[He draws his sword.]

Magus! Show yourself!

[When there's no answer to his challenge, he lowers his sword and begins to walk around, battle instincts kicking in.] This isn't the result of some all-encompassing dark art... is it? It is dark, and it seems empty, and yet... there is life here. How can life exist in such a bleak, benighted place?

Still, there is no way to discern an exit... I mustn't drop my guard, as benign as this place may appear.

[Juni is sitting at a desk mostly devoid of webs (it was one recently brought for her, it probably won’t be in such a good state for long) with several documents spread around her and a quill in her hand…. Ginger is lying on her lap, letting out the occasional purr but mostly just dozing as Juni does her work…

…Until he decides he wants food, at which point he digs in his claws
] Ouch!

[Glares down at Ginger] Just let me finish this stuff and then I’ll get you something.

[Ginger looks up at her and lets out a questioning purr] I don’t know, mouse probably, maybe chicken, we haven’t exactly got a fridge.

[Blinks because she certainly didn’t mean to say that much and then returns to her documents, looking faintly perturbed]

[So there are a few things to note, not the least of which is SAND EVERYWHERE, but Isaac is kinda bloody, red as a tomato, and sweating hard enough that all the sand that was caked to his face is being washed away. His clothes are damp with it. Isaac is being supported purely by his sword, but that doesn't last long as he soon keels over onto his side, breathing like a horse. He doesn't move.]

[Anyone who's played this game will share my sentiments of THAT FUCKING DESERT]

[there is the sound of new footsteps on the Plane, deliberate and assured. A face used to stumbling into the unknown, and facing it down with a tilted smile.

The long white gown created for her when she arrived at the core traded for much more practical slacks, a long sleeve shirt and a sturdy pair of boots. A pack tossed over one shoulder.

Her hair is down]

And just when I think I've explored every corner of this place.

[the hands that trace over the bar explore it, looking for any
divits or messages worn into its surface. Something that was left behind]

Life never stops being full of surprises.

Even here.
