[Well. Here's Hei. He appears near the Astral Theater and just sort of stands there for a minute, staring out across the Plane. Eventually he sits down with his back to the wall of the theater, folding his arms on top of his knees. He keeps staring out at Nothing In Particular.

[He looks utterly lost.]

Li! [Shun's happy to see him until he gets close and gets a good look at him] Are you all right? [And he's kneeling next to you Hei]

{A pause, then she sits down next to him, drawing her knees up to her chest. As creepy as it sounds, she can smell the difference in the blood.} Hei?

Li-san?! [ Nanoha runs over and pauses in front of him. ] Li-san, what happened?

[Scoots away and doesn't answer for awhile.]

...I'm alright, yeah.

[Edges away, trying to put distance between them.]

[After awhile,] You can tell, can't you?

[He doesn't believe you Hei] Are you sure? Mu said something happened to you.

{Frowns just slightly, but nods} Of course. It doesn't smell the same.

[Tries hard not to flinch at how close she gets to him and fails. But he does manage to plaster on a completely fake smile.]

Miss Nanoha. I'm alright. I'm just tired.

[contract_star]

...He did, huh.

Just had a long day.

[Vague nod but says nothing.]

I'm not going to ask 'who' or 'how', so don't worry about that. I'm not sure I want to know anyways.

{Looks over at him} And it seems like a waste of time to ask if you're alright, so can I get anything for you? It's...not easy to die.

Yes. Mu said he couldn't sense you anymore.

[Silence for a while as he just looks at you Hei. He doesn't want to bring the subject up but he wants to know] That's not all it is, is it Li?

[Dino had been intending to yell at you when he saw you again Hei, but he can't stay that mad when he sees the expression on your face. So he'll just stand there, watching you, not sure what to say anymore.]

[lkfndlkn Worried and concerned and just generally really freaked out after talking with Mu. It's possible Hei was just taking a break from the Plane and went somewhere Mu couldn't sense, but he knows people come back from the dead and it's scary how likely it is that's what's happened. He shifts on his feet, takes a step or two forward, then just stands nearby, not getting very close, not yet.]

Li-san...

[Just doesn't answer, staring at the stars beneath the floor.]

You don't look all right. [ She kneels and looks at him. ] Li-san, Mu-san said you were being threatened. Did someone hurt you?

[Shifts a bit at the word "die." He's silent for awhile.]

Thanks. But no.

[contract_star]

[For awhile he doesn't say anything or even seem to acknowledge Dino's presence.]

[Then, without emotion,] Did he tell the entire Plane or something?

[Hei is so very thankful that you're keeping your distance.]

The only people Mu told were the ones who cared enough about you to find out why he showed up looking for you.

You died, didn't you? [He's being much more blunt about this then he would be normally.]

[He presses a hand to his forehead, trying not to remember and trying not to let his heart start racing. He goes momentarily blank, then the fake smile is back, looking more genuine this time.]

Not really, no. I just had some trouble in my own reality is all.

[Goes blank and doesn't answer.]
