[Ikki shows up on the Astral Plane looking exhausted. He strips off his gear and flops down on the ground right where he's standing.]

Oi, baby shark. Find anything out?

[a pause]

Man... if I hear that guy telling me I'm not pushing myself one more time, I'm gonna start doubting if he's dead.

[Ikki is great for distractions, especially when it comes to his own ego. He sits up.] Air Treck. The big tournament. [He holds up one of his skates for Shun to see.] Unlike those plaid-wearing homos, my team is actually going somewhere.

Someone was talking about that once, but I really don't understand much about it. Exactly what kind of tournament is it?

The Trophaeum Tower opens its gates in a couple of weeks, and the teams that want the title of champions have to compete against each other to see who can get to the top. The winner gets the title of Sky King.

But it's not just about fame and fortune or whatever. There's a whole political agenda going on and it's up to me to make sure neither of the top teams get control of it. Really bad things will happen if they do.

That doesn't sound good. This tournament must be really important if it has that kind of stuff attached to it.

Racing, fighting, tricks with our A-Ts, all three at the same time...

It is. It's the most important thing right now. [His eyes gain a distant look. There's the not-so-subtle squeezing of a fist at his side...] Too many people have sacrificed too much for me to back down now. And besides... that's where the wind is taking me.

{Stands over him, looking down with a curious expression} Pushing yourself doing what?

We're training for a tournament. [He opens his eyes and realizes he has a very impressive view. Might as well make it worth it, right? He caaaaasually maneuvers himself around so that his head sits between her ankles. Grinning the whole time. 8D]

{Because yes head between a girls ankles is so casual. She doesn't say anything about it, just takes a step back} A tournament? What kind of tournament?

{This time he gets a foot to the face; I sure hope that heel is comfy on your forehead} Air Treck? Oh, those are those things that Juliet has, I think. What do you do for a championship?

[ACK. Ikki talks around the foot, but he stays where he is.]

Ugh. That homo? My team's way better than they are. As far as the tournament goes... it's brutal. You gotta fight your way to the top! It's not for the weak-hearted or the gender-confused.

{Changes her mind and instead just sits on the ground beside him. There. :| But she does laugh a little} Is that so? Poor Juliet~ He'd be hurt to hear that. Ne, but fighting? On those? That seems hard.

{As an afterthought} You're very persistent, you know.

That sounds interesting! [Well, the racing and tricks do. The fighting doesn't sound nearly as appealing]

[Looks down] It's hard sometimes, living up to the sacrifices people have made.

[Ikki doesn't try to set his head in her lap or anything, he just lays back and rubs at the spot on his forehead where her foot was.] Pfft. Don't worry about him. Her. It. [He pauses, frowning up at the sky.] Yeah, it is. It can even kill a person, if used for the wrong reasons.

Oh, but I have to worry a little bit. After all, Juliet is a little jealous that Romeo thinks I'm pretty. {Giggles, before thoughtfully} Wow, really? How is that even possible? Is it not just shoes with wheels?

Heh. Juliet should be more than a little jealous, if you ask me. You're gorgeous. [If not a bitch. Ikki finds her amusing enough, though. At the 'shoes with wheels' remark, he sits up.] No way! Air Trecks let people fly! There's all sorts of things people can add onto them for tricks. My best friend can make flames. Things like that.

Oh, well thank you! That's very sweet of you. ♥ {oh Diva is vain, yes she is} Ah, really? That's...Well, that's really amazing! It must be a lot of fun to be able to fly.

Just telling the truth. [He grins fangishly.] It is. It's better than anything. But some people think no one else but them deserves to fly, and that's why I'm gonna get stronger and show 'em otherwise.

Yeah, I've only been here for a while. It's alright so far. Everyone's missing someone but me, it seems.─ Er, I found him, but he's only here on the Plane.

Oh, well then that's stupid. People really think that? I hope that you do show them, because that's absolutely silly.

Mm~ Well, it's not like losing people is very nice. {Smiles softly} I just hope that they all come back soon. But, really, other than strange things like this, it's really wonderful here. I love it.

Seems a lot of strange things happen around here. I'm still not sure if this is real or not, but it's a pretty cool idea anyway.

{Firmly} It's real. If it weren't...Well, that would be very sad. I've met people here that I really like. I'd hate it if they weren't real after all. But that's the nice part. You can talk to people from all kinds of different times, places, and worlds. It's fun.

[He nods.] Yeah. It'd be cool if I could take some of the people I meet here back with me, you know? So they could learn what Air Treck is like. Watching and doing are completely different.
