[3] Bloodsport.

[Cloud appears. He's a little nasty at the time -- splattered with monster guts and carrying a sword equally disgusting. There is a large slash down his right arm; but it heals smoothy; inhumanly quickly as he sets down two jars -- each with a jewel.]

They're destroying my city. It's eating everything. Pfft. Bahumat imposer  What the hell.

[Cue astral monster. It's vicious, and insanely fast. Cloud raises his massive sword.]

Shit...

[And now, battlefield, baby.]

[steps up next to Cloud] Perhaps we would have an easier time of it if there were two of us? [pulling out his wand] They seem to be quite evenly matched against one.

Perhaps the one headed towards the pub? Although - I suppose, for you, it may not be a pub. But that matters little at the moment. [raises his wand and points it at the monster so that Cloud knows which one he's talking about.] I believe I can keep it immobilised long enough for you to strike.

Where you live? [runs after him and swishes his wand. a jet of yellow light comes out, hits the monster, and paralyzes it.]

[Albus is still concentrating on keeping his spell going, to keep it immobilised. He calls up to Cloud:] Do not worry about the jewel; I can summon it when the creature is down. Tell me when you believe you've damaged it enough and I will release it.

[Albus nods at Cloud. The stream of yellow light breaks and the monster begins to tip forward. Before it can fall to the ground and cover the jewel in its front, Albus swiftly waves his wand, and the jewel flies out towards his outstretched hand. He grabs it as the monster crashes to the ground.]

That was really quite extraordinary. [He puts the jewel into a jar.] Graphic, but extraordinary. I cannot imagine how you wield that sword without magic.
