[At once, Yomiel finds himself on the Plane. He is remarkable if only because of his crazy tall hair and bright red suit. More importantly, though, he's currently holding out a hanger with a cute black dress on it.]

... Uh. [He looks around. His fiancee has disappeared. There is no sign of ghosts. He is quite literally in the Twilight Zone.] Don't tell me I'm dead.

[He sounds rather nonchalant about this. He adjusts his sunglasses with his free hand.]

Look, I have reservations at the fanciest place in town tonight, so I really need to go.

[-- Nope, still here. So he goes for Plan B.]

... Sissel?

[He jumps, though it's probably more of a mental reaction than a physical one.]

Ah, the other Sissel!

[He's relieved. He hasn't seen his savior for a while, though rest assured, he calls Jowd frequently.

Get over here so he can give pets.]

[ Sir yes, sir! The kitten meanders over and rubs all up against Yomiel's leg. Thankfully he doesn't shed. Because he is dead. Deadcat. ]

It's been a while! What are you doing here?

[temsik]

[Having a foreverkitten is definitely awesome. He drops to a crouch, scritching beneath Sissel's chin.]

That's what I was about to ask. I feel like I dreamed this up somewhere... that, or I keeled over before my date.

What's going on?

[themystery]

Does this feel like dying to you? Getting clothes?

[ Obediently, the purr revs happily while he stands up against Yomiel's knee to allow better access. ]

Not a whole lot, actually. Oh, you mean about here? It's some kind of... crossroads. I don't really get it, but there are a bunch of colorful folk around.

[temsik]

[He snerks a bit, quieter than he might have a long time ago but hey at least he's laughing.]

This isn't for me. She was trying to decide what to wear.

[/Cats/.]

A crossroads, huh? That's... better than what I was expecting. So everything and everyone's still okay?

[themystery]

[ Cats indeed. This one decides to hop up onto Yomiel's leg and starts to lick at his paw absently from there. ]

Of course. They have me to watch out for them.

How have you been? Aside from clothes shopping.

[temsik]

[Well then, Yomiel might just pet the top of his head. It's right there, after all.]

Of course, of course. I'd never doubt you.

[A pause.]

Things have been busy. I'm still trying to find a new job...

[He's not sure he wants to work for the government again. Something more low-key, but tech-oriented, would suit him best.]

If only I was a cat, my job would be catching mice all day.

[ This is acceptable. Kitty will not say no to attention from a friend he hasn't seen in so long. Rumblerumblepurrpurr. ]

Don't knock it 'til you've tried it. What's so hard about finding a job, anyway?
